Expedia.com passengers access to the best
hotels and rates. The hotel selection can be accessed via the
homepage of www.aurigny.com. Also, when travellers receive
their email flight confirmation it will also automatically include
a web link to a selection of hotels, which will match the
destination on their ticket.

The booking process is extremely customer friendly and
travellers will be able to read other people’s comments on
particular hotels. The service also provides an overall score
system based on traveller’s satisfaction.

Christmas shopping! Yes, it’s that time again and Aurigny is delighted to present you with a different option this year. We all know about theexcellent facilities at Manchester’s Trafford Centre and Southampton’s
West Quay but have you ever considered Nottingham for your big shop?

There is more to this great city than cricket and Robin Hood and with Aurigny’s daily flights to East Midlands it is accessed easily and in comfort. The Victoria Centre is a large indoor mall and home to 120 shops and stores while Westfield Broadmarsh has over 80. The Exchange & The FH Mall has many stylish outlets gathered beneath its elegant glass vaulted roof.

The area around Low Pavement and Bridlesmith Gate is a haven for fans of designer fashions, with exclusive names rubbing shoulders with one another along the historic cobbled streets. Nottingham is the capital of the East Midlands and has one of the most sophisticated urban environments with a £200 million canal quarter, more café-bars and elegant restaurants than any comparable city and an enviable reputation for clubs, theatres, cinemas and galleries.

Of course East Midlands airport is not just handy for Nottingham but for Derby and Leicester too where there is also excellent shopping to be had. Don’t forget we do not charge for baggage which is a bonus when
retail therapy is on the agenda.

Aurigny has had its best-ever month on its Gatwick route. Despite many companies pulling back on business travel the airline sales figures show that 13,897 chose to fly with Aurigny in May. “This is great news and confirmation that our new 08.40 departure from Guernsey is very popular with business travellers.” says Aurigny Managing Director, Malcolm Hart. “Combine that with some really attractive fares and the introduction of our two new ATR aircraft and we have a great month which is bucking market trends. “We also introduced new routes from Guernsey to East Midlands and Jersey to Stansted on 1 May and our first month has been really encouraging with our figures across the network 12% up on last year.” Ticket sales on the East Midlands service are 73% above forecast and 40% above the last time the airline operated on this route in May 2004. “We are also very pleased that we have upped our presence in Jersey” says Mr Hart. “With the reduction in other carrier’s services to London we had an idea that a reliable daily service to Stansted would be a valued alternative. In our first month of operations we are 55% above forecasts and have equaled the figures from the last time we ran this service in May 2004, when we had twice as many daily flights.”
